Connie Rux, editor.<\/strong><\/div>\n<p>Step into the office of Dolores Umbridge, the maleficent interloping Hogwarts headmistress in \u201cHarry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix,\u201d and you\u2019ll find the walls crammed with painted cat plates, tacky to the point of creepiness. And in \u201cPride and Prejudice,\u201d when a gentleman comes calling the women stifle their boisterous laughter and bawdy gossip and take up their needlework, the very picture of dispassionate homemaking.
