(Cue height jokes from those of you who know me in Real Life.) This year&#8217;s winner was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theexpatwoman.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Expat Woman<\/a>, &#8220;a social networking and resource website for women from across the globe who are now living in the US.&#8221; Stacie Tamaki,\u00a0&#8220;promoting local tourism, living, working, dining out, cooking, baking, and adventuring&#8221;\u00a0via\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/stacietamaki.blogspot.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Flirty Blog<\/a>,\u00a0was runner up\u00a0again. My own blog took the bronze medal. It was an honor just to be nominated, yada yada yada. \ud83d\ude09 But, seriously, thank you to everyone who voted for me.<\/p>\n<p>In other Arts-related categories, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.arthaus-sf.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ArtHaus<\/a> was back on top as best gallery, beating out last year&#8217;s winner, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cordair.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Quent Cordair Fine Art<\/a>. The top\u00a0East Bay Gallery was <a href=\"http:\/\/thetransmissiongallery.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Transmission Gallery<\/a>, in Oakland. Alameda&#8217;s own\u00a0Gary Francis Fine Art, which only recently opened, took 5th place.<\/p>\n<p>Best Museum honors again went to the\u00a0de Young. Alameda&#8217;s\u00a0USS Hornet Museum made a strong showing in 3rd place, behind the California Academy of Sciences. SFMOMA dropped back from 3rd to 8th place, not surprising consider that they are closed for construction through early 2016.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.artspan.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ArtSpan<\/a>, the organization behind SF&#8217;s open studios, \u00a0finished 3rd\u00a0in the Best Charity category.<\/p>\n<p>Once again it looks like your best bets for\u00a0pet and wedding photography are\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thefurrtographer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Furrtographer <\/a>and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.iqphoto.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">IQphoto Studio<\/a>, respectively while Angela Lang Photography in Oakland is the new leader for Children&#8217;s photos.
