He started writing as a freelance reporter for the Daily Californian newspaper in the \u201980s, while a Women\u2019s Studies major at UC Berkeley. Originally from LA, he has been a proud Alamedan for more than two decades. Michael enjoys gallery hopping, preparing for the zombie apocalypse, and Yahtzee with Buddies.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to writing this blog, Michael has covered the local Art scene for Alameda Magazine, Oakland Magazine, SF Weekly, The Alamedan,\u00a0and Bay Area News Group.
