In October of last year I reviewed Jon Kerpel’s exhibit of “Earth Temples” at the Alameda Free Library<\/a>. When he was invited to exhibit at Gallery 555, a satellite of the Oakland Museum of California,\u00a0I attended the March 24 reception.<\/p>\n

The exhibit is elegantly curated by Carin Adams, Assistant Curator for\u00a0OMCA’s professional-services division. The pieces are relatively sparse–a functional necessity of the venue–but this just adds to the serenity of the installation. It’s worth the jaunt downtown.<\/p>\n

The exhibit runs through April 29 at 555 12th Street, Oakland, CA 94607. The building is open Monday-Friday, 7am-6pm, and 7am-8pm on the third Thursday of every month.<\/div>\n<\/p>\n
