“Everyone’s a Critic” opens Friday, 11/7/08
October 31st, 2008Happy Halloween! As I mentioned in my earlier “save the date” e-mail, I’m in a group show in San Francisco called “Everyone’s a Critic – Selections from SF Camerawork’s Member Critiques.” It opens a week from today, November 7, and runs through January 30, 2009. There will be a reception opening night from 5-8 PM. It’s through SF Camerawork, but the show (and reception) is at a high-end print shop called In Color 2.
The details:
2475 Third Street, Ste. 251
San Francisco, CA 94107
(Just down 3rd street from AT&T Park)Reception Friday, 11/7, 5-8 PM.
“In Color 2 presents a group color photography exhibition collecting the best work from SF Camerawork’s monthly member critiques. In honor of the one-year anniversary of the monthly event, In Color 2 is hosting a juried exhibition for those photographers that have participated in these monthly peer critiques led by In Color 2 owner and SF Camerawork’s Education Director Erik Auerbach.
SF Camerawork’s mission to serve mid-career and emerging artists, these critiques provide an open forum for photographers to share and discuss their work with their peers. The breadth of photography seen each month inspired this show that includes 17 different artists. From documentary and street photography to conceptual still life images Everyone’s a Critic offers a glimpse into the state of Bay Area photography at present.
Artists included in the exhibition are: Donald R. Anderson, Kim Campisano, Alan George, Ingeborg Gerdes, David Goldberg, Andrew Goodrich, Christopher Hall, Larry Jones, George Kaplan, Eric Kaufman-Cohen, Kristine Mendoza, Jane Paradise, Ed Roppo, Susan Sims-Hillbrand, Michael Singman-Aste, Barb Traub, and K. Tyler.”
I hope to see you there!
Regards,
Michael Singman-Aste
